Doug Aitken: Lightscape @ Marciano Foundation

Lightscape is a shapeshifting multimedia artwork by Doug Aitken created in collaboration with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Los Angeles Master Chorale, unfolding across multiple stages — from a live-to-picture concert premiere at Walt Disney Concert Hall to a large-scale multi-screen installation in the Marciano Art Foundation's Theater Gallery, activated weekly with live musical performances and culminating in a feature-length film release. Directed and created by Aitken, the project merges cinematic storytelling, choral and orchestral performance, and immersive installation to create a continuously evolving work at the intersection of contemporary art, music, and film.
